Cuphead: Revision 001, version 1.3.7 on cart. DLC: “Delicious Last Course” is on cart. No patches available, this is the most up to date version of the game and it is currently complete on cart at the time of this test (Early September 2023).
Encountered two issues:
The first issue encountered happened during the dragon boss, Grim Matchsticks. After beating the boss and seeing the “knockout” on the screen, Cuphead (the character himself) disappeared from the screen entirely. We were unable to replicate this in other completions of this boss, so this was seemingly just a random glitch.
The second issue occurred during the DLC final boss, Chef Saltbaker. For some reason, when the boss began, the entire screen would turn white for a few seconds and then the boss would appear normally. This isn’t supposed to happen. Sometimes this can cause you to take a hit because the boss is already attacking before the white screen disappears.
When dying to this boss, a white rectangle will appear on the middle of the screen and take a few seconds to disappear. This happens every single time beginning the boss and dying to it. Only completely closing and restarting the game fixed this issue.
Ultimately, it seems to be an annoying glitch that can be avoided by restarting the entire game. The game seems to be a near perfect build with maybe a few minor hiccups from what I can tell.
Other than what is listed above, this seems to be a really great build of the game!
