Utilized default settings except for Italian audio with English subtitles. Beaten on 'Soulslike' mode with the 'God of Man' / True Ending. All attempted trophies unlocked as necessary alongside related boss & side-quests accolades. The other two endings, 'New Game+' mode & 'Story' difficulty were untested for reference.
A code voucher for the 'Deluxe Edition' DLC (extra starting consumable / upgrade items, official soundtrack excerpt & art-book excerpt) is packaged in the respective physical packaging. Initially, more significant DLC was meant to be included with the Deluxe Edition as well, but has seemingly been removed from the list of included extras.
-- Serviceable framerate drops can occur throughout the experience.
-- Very, very minor instances of visual pop-in for environmental details (particularly cloth-based decorations like banners, ship sails, etc.), clipping, flickering textures (specifically a few corners for flyers in the final areas of the game), & lighting effects (ex. shadows). Just as a side note, one "major" pop-in detail does take place in the "Falesia Magma" location while crossing the castle bridge leading to the boss Captain Spaventa where a decorative side tower can appear / re-appear depending on the position of the player with regard to draw distance. Thankfully, it doesn't have any impact on performance & it's simply being documented as a large object that has a noticeable appearance shift compared to smaller aspects.
-- When viewed up close with the camera pointed downward at an angle, the surface of ocean water or puddles in the "Turf of the Coastal Horror" area have a slight jittery effect. It doesn't occur when viewed from faraway.
-- As usual with utilizing foreign voice audio, incidental dialogue from enemies doesn't have any subtitle support. As a side note, various minor NPCs from the "Falesia Magma" location & onward have lines without any voice audio which appears to be a deliberate design choice when compared to multiple video walk-throughs. Around the last half-or-quarter of the game, select dialogue exchanges can be automated despite the appearance of a progress prompt for the next line of material. As a result, some pieces of dialogue can accidentally be skipped without knowledge of their manual nature on top of other select moments of chatter where it appears to conclude sooner than expected with abrupt shifts in minor NPC animations between each bit of conversation.
-- After beating the optional boss Veltha, God of Strife, the subsequent cutscene briefly depicted two character models of her with one playing out the story sequence & the other continuing her defeat animation. It's possible the location of defeating her might result in the minor visual oddity as the segment carried out as normal once the animation concluded.
-- Ending spoilers: In the final stretch for the secret ending requirements, the penultimate dialogue exchange with Litho briefly locked up where the text wouldn't leave the screen. Resting at the save point in the same hub area negated the issue & the last necessary interaction with the NPC registered as necessary. When approaching the stage with Pulcinella, a piece of dialogue from him started to play before immediately being cut off by a materializing Veltha. Approaching her didn't provide any talk prompt which is needed for the aforementioned conclusion. Fortunately, resting at the nearby save point allowed her to re-materialize once again & the dialogue prompt activated.
-- As some small tips for the secret ending, it appears the player can freely speak with Pulcinella throughout the game without consequence. However, you must not talk with him on the hub world stage after defeating Pantalone & Balazone as doing so locks into several standard endings. Following the fight, the player must finish all related tasks for the NPC side-quests (Mecenate, Maja, Veltha & Litho) which should cap off with trophies signifying their completion. Once they've been finalized, Veltha should summon near the theater stage & asks the player to speak with her. At the end of the Veltha's conversation, choose 'Agree' & a compendium entry for 'The God of Man' should unlock in the 'Compendium' files. Afterward, speak with Pulcinella to initiate the closing segments. Beat the final boss & attack the fallen foe in the subsequent game-play moment to trigger another boss fight. For what it's worth, dying in the extra fight doesn't mean the player has to do the previous encounter all over again as entering the arena starts the hidden fight straight from the respawn save point.
