English included on disc. Compared to the day one patch, the game requires a download to proceed past Chapter 1 in Story Mode, and in order to play as the characters I-No and Anji. The English voice dub also requires the update. Other modes can be played fine without updates.

XP and W$ can be earned offline and W$ can be spent to earn items via Fishing while offline.
