This game recieved a yellow rating for various bugs including framerate drops and progress issues after using sleep mode.

Test Notes:

  • Tested offline with a local profile that has no PSN account activated on it.
  • Tested mostly with PSSR enabled. Performance is slightly better with PSSR off.
  • Heavy FPS drops in some boss fights.
  • Some microstuttering observed during traversal.
  • Sometimes character shadows look distractingly low res and blocky in certain scenes.
  • Encountered an issue where characters would not speak when interacted with after putting the console to sleep and waking it. This meant the game could no longer progress and reloading the checkpoint didn’t fix it. After the game had been exited and restarted from the XMB, it worked again.
  • An issue where shadows would appear and disappear close to the camera were observed in multiple locations.
  • Some stutters after a major firefight were observed for a few seconds.
  • When loading a save or fast travelling, the game will stutter heavily for a few seconds.
  • Some issues with flickering on bodies of water were observed.
  • Some calls with NPCs would cut out unexpectedly.
  • An issue where a character’s lips wouldn’t move as they talk was observed.
