Summary:

The main campaign is fully playable from start to end as a single player experience, but is unpolished. True 100% completion is likely not achievable because of an unlock bug and other bugs in the open world. In open world sections, the frame rate briefly decreases quite often, the game stutters randomly and pop-in is noticeable. In smaller story levels, the game runs fine. The tester is not confident that in co-op play, the game would be a quality experience for extended play time.

Methods of Testing:

Docked 50% Handheld %50
21 hours of playtime
Completion at 34.5%

COOP split screen briefly tested.

General Notes:
- Version 1.0.0 on card
- Languages: English, French & Spanish
- Subtitles Language: English
- Initial start up//loading takes up to 1,5 mins (from game start up to the title screen). Up to a minute when loading in from a save. Combined with the initial boot up, you will wait upwards of 2-3 minutes from boot to loading into your save file.
- Loading before some longer cutscenes is about 15-20 seconds.
- Surround sound is supported when playing in docked mode.
- No touchscreen support or motion controls support.
- Patches restore Nintendo themed/licensed items that were present in the original WiiU game.
- Auto saves only after discovering super builds, building super builds, checkpoints within missions and finding/completing side objectives.

Accessibility:

- English subtitles available with different text sizes.

Non-Performance Issues:

- Game does not support video capture on the Switch system.
- Graphical flickering and glitches in lighting effects during gameplay and cutscenes. Typically minor things like trees in the background or shadows in character details.
- Some objects missing during cutscenes and gameplay. During an early mission tables and chairs that NPCs were sitting on were translucent. These objects can still be destroyed and interacted with.
- Chase's character portrait is blurry.
- Mini map doesn't lock on to the players icon and bobs around in areas of the map. Including: Bluebell National Park and Blackwell Bridge.
- An unlockable and optional emergency vehicle could not be selected in the purchase menu in the basement of the police station. An icon indicated the vehicle could be purchased, but it could not be accessed within the menu. Restarting the game did NOT fix the issue. The tester presumes this would prevent 100% completion. The vehicle's unlock silhouette did not even display at vehicle call-in-points in the open world.
- A dynamite vending machine in the Fresco region of the map was glitched. The dynamite could not be equipped after it was dispensed from the machine.
- Visual glitches occur sometimes in distant terrain like mountains and hills. Black squares appear instead of textures and/or being able to see through the map.
- Upon beating the final main mission, all characters hats/hair disappeared.

Performance Issues:

- Frame rate drops and random stutters when in crowded areas in the open world. These range in severity. Destroying cars causes brief frame drops. Areas with lots of NPC's stutter and run at a lower frame rate. Docked mode does alleviate all of these issues.
- Pop-in is noticeable when driving around.
- Water effects from fountains, fire hydrants, etc., cause frame drops.
- Experienced 3 crashes. After Chapter 3, when loading. Luckily, the game had already saved and no progress was lost. A random crash occured when driving around the open world and destroying terrain. The crash could not be reproduced. The game crashed once when loading back into a save file.
- During Chapter 5 during a section listening to audio cues the cues did not appear. After exiting and re-entering the prompt multiple times, they finally appeared and the mission could progress.
- Coop was tested briefly in open world sections. Pop-in and the framerate was worse than normal. NPC's were observed glitching multiple times.
