Entire game playable off of the cartridge in English without patching.
Wavelengths DLC is also on the cartridge and fully playable.
Game runs relatively well, audio is great, and load times are not too bad. Visuals take a hit, but its expected for the switch.
There were three issues found throughout play-through:
- On one occasion a door glitched and you could see past it and under the map. It was still functional and when interacted with the story progressed correctly.
- During some cutscenes there would be a white flicker at the bottom of the screen. We could replicate it by resetting the scene.
- At the end of every chapter the game will ask you to connect to the internet and update, which you can ignore, but it's very annoying. When opening the game for the first time from the Switch home screen, it wouldn't offer you the "play without patch" option and would try to force you to download patch. Exiting and relaunching the game would give the option to play as is.
