Version 1.0.2011220 on cart. At time of testing (May 2024), there is a patch available to version 1.6.2225577.

Cosmic Edition includes the Galactic Prestige weapon skin collection and the Megabug weapon skin collection. These are only obtained via a download code and are NOT included on cart.
Additionally, all DLC released for the game is not included on cart.

Completed the main campaign story, obtained collectibles known as memories, obtained all Sparks and upgraded them all to level 5 (max star level), completed all main quests and all side quests, unlocked all characters, unlocked all Spark techniques for each character, each character was leveled up to level 30, unlocked all planet keys, unlocked all secret zones, beat all time trials in these secret zones, and unlocked all weapon skins except one (44 out of 45).
We were able to achieve 99% completion. Unfortunately, there is a bug that prevents collecting the final skin and achieving 100% completion.

Encountered an enemy that going out of bounds. This enemy walked right off of the platform but then re-appeared on the battle map. This only occurred once.

During a side mission where the player is asked to save some penguins and throw them onto a boat. Once we threw them onto the boat, the penguins started to pop in and out.

Speaking of pop-in, the game does have quite a bit of it. Not horrible by any means, but it is noticeable. Pop-in does occur during in game cutscenes as well.

Additionally, there is shadow flickering that can happen from time to time.

There were a couple of times when enemies weren’t responding during their attacks. For this specific glitch, the enemies were not moving for a few moments. Thankfully, the issue would fix itself and the enemies would respond as normal.

Also noticed some frame rate issues in a few battles. This would cause stutter and some slowdown. The game is relatively slow paced, so it’s not super egregious, but it is noticeable. Although, toward the end of the game, there was a mission available to beat over 50 enemies on the battle field. This particular mission had some major slowdown. We assume this occurred because of the amount of enemies on screen. As the enemies began to dwindle, the game became more stable. Though, keep in mind that frame rates would still drop occasionally when there weren’t many enemies on screen. Again, the game is slow paced so it’s not too bad.
Additionally, the frame rates drop in the over-world areas. Same as before, this causes stutters and some slow down.

There is a minor issue that occurs when going to the shop. For some reason, the shop menu doesn’t allow the player to select any items. When this bug occurred, we had to leave to the main menu and reload the game to fix the issue. This only happened twice during the entire playthrough.

Another minor issue that occurred is related to notifications. The player receives notifications when a mission is being updated or completed. These notifications appear on the left hand side of the screen. Sometimes, notifications would appear half way on the screen, while the remainder was off screen. Within a few seconds, this would fix itself and appear fully on screen.

At the end of the game, during the final battle, one bug did occur. When it was our turn to attack the boss, we used Mario and fired our weapons toward the boss. When the player chooses to attack a certain enemy, the game is supposed to shoot its attack toward the enemy. This did not happen here. The game seemingly froze in place and nothing happened. Unfortunately, we had to start the boss battle over. This happened during phase 2 of the boss battle, meaning that we had to complete phase 1 over again. Thankfully, this did not happen again.

Had two software errors. These occurred while in the middle of a battle. When the game restarted, we had to restart the battle from the beginning. Ultimately, it only happened twice within 35+ hours of gameplay, so it’s not too bad.

Now, let’s talk about the completion issue. One specific mission is bugged, and that mission is related to the secret zone in the Palette Prime area. The player is supposed to unlock this secret zone and then save a Spark. We did save this spark, and the game even shows that we saved this specific Spark, but the side mission “Reach the Spark” is still showing incomplete. We redid this mission several times, but to no avail. The Spark is no longer there as we already saved it, and therefore this particular mission is bugged.
We did look the bug up online, and there is a lot of threads related to this same issue. One person suggested on Reddit, that if the player completes the two main missions first, and then unlocks the secret area, this bug may not occur. We did not test this, as this will require to start the entire game over from scratch, and reach the half way point. Just wanted to mention this possible fix just in case someone else is trying to get 100% completion. It’s probably best to do some research online to see if anything else can be done to prevent this glitch from occurring before reaching the Palette Prime area.
