Tested by DoesItPlay on Base PS5
The game received an orange rating for “download required” due to a number of impactful bugs and performance issues. The story can be beaten, but you will encounter various hiccups.
Test Notes:
The camera quite often twitches into unexpected positions or is positioned in a way that makes it hard to see paths properly.
During chapter 3 the game started dropping frames excessively.
Observed an enemy stuck in place.
The game suffers from constant screen tearing, even during the credits.
During the Sole Crusher levels the framerate dropped into single digits over several sections before the Sphinx fight, making it quite difficult to navigate through the level.
Also during the Sole Crusher levels, we encountered areas in which we fell through the floor.
After the first level of the Truth section, Cat Noir lost his progress markers. The values for his stats stay the same, but we suddenly had to unlock the tiers again, spending XP without actually raising the stats further.
Navigating through sections with the yoyo (pressing triangle to latch onto poles) failed on multiple occasions despite pushing the button in time. Sometimes it just doesn’t target properly.
Pressing circle as indicated to skip the credits doesn’t work.
Content Completed:
Main story beaten.
Ladybug stats maximized.
Battle Arena mode was not tested.
