Test Notes:
※ As of mid-February 2026, the ESRB release is only obtainable as part of the 'Assault' Edition. It includes an outer box, fan-book, "Taito Sound Bullets" soundtrack CD, poster (A3 size) and a minimalist reversible cover. The physical release also features the "Operation Night Strikers - CS Pack" DLC, which contains six home console ports derived from the four main games, on cartridge.

-- Technical issues that were present in the original releases, such as slowdown / frame-rate drops and flickering sprites (ex. various "Operation Wolf" console versions, etc.), are likely retained in these altered ports. When sampling the Mega CD port for "Night Striker", it appeared to favor the D-pad instead of the analog stick in comparison to the other home ports. When booting up the arcade version of "Night Striker", it appears to take a few seconds longer than other games found within the compilation.

-- By default, the main games automatically support online score ranking functionality. Whenever continues or irregular game modifications are implemented, a notification will appear that tells the player the current ranking session will be voided. It can be turned off, or momentarily suspended, in the 'Other' menu under the 'Pause' screen for each respective game.

-- During an abandoned run on the "U.S. - Normal" arcade variant for "Operation Wolf", using a quick save file at the start of the final stage after a previous 'game over' attempt would occasionally experience a bug where all of the sound during game-play would be absent. Audio briefly returns to normal function as the 'game over' theme plays out, but it would revert back to silence in subsequent runs. Reloading the save would sometimes fix the problem, but it would often resurface during later tries. Using an earlier save file before that level would usually operate as expected after allowing the 'game over' scene to play out for the final stage later on. Additionally, the aforementioned game variant appears to be greatly unbalanced difficulty for traditional controllers. Even with aim sensitivity maxed out, neither the Joy-Cons or Pro controller alongside 'Gyro' support were fast enough to hit all of the near 100 enemies clearly build around a light gun peripheral. Due to the high difficulty, the run was skipped in favor of the 'US Easy' variant that was much more accessible on regular controllers.

Content Completed:
-- Completely playable offline with no download required. All four games were beaten with default settings. "Operation Wolf" was beaten through 'US Easy' variant, "Operation Thunderbolt" on 'US' variant with the 'True / Mission Accomplished!' ending, "Space Gun" on 'US' variant with the 'True / Just the Prologue...' ending and "Night Strikers" on 'World' variant with 'Route U / Signs of Peace' ending. All in-game achievements unlocked as necessary. Other arcade variants, alternate endings and home ports were left untested for reference. At the very least, all console ports from the "CS Pack" DLC were momentarily sampled through their respective first levels to confirm accessibility. Please note that any changes in the 'Game Settings' menu under the in-game 'Pause' function will require a game restart which resets the current play session as a side note.
