Mostly unplayable on Switch 2 BC due to frequent crashes.
Crashes can occur on the menu screen where the main offline modes can be selected.
Town Center free roam for both Plants and Zombies crashed when starting on every attempt during testing.
Mount Steep and Weirding Woods in free roam were accessible. However, the game would crash on all sessions during testing after 5-10 minutes of play.
The main hub area crashed after a few minutes when playing Zombies.
Offline Bot matches crashed after a few minutes of play.
Occasional stutters were observed during gameplay.
*PHOTOSENSITIVITY WARNING BELOW*
When playing as the Plants, the screen would display fading white flashes intermittently with a line of corruption on the left side.
When playing as the Zombies, white pixel-like artifacts would intermittently display on the screen.
Some cutscenes play at a lower framerate similar to original hardware.
Mild texture/object pop-in observed similar to original hardware
Framerate and resolution are improved overall in docked mode.
Content Completed:
Explored the hubs for both Plants and Zombies before experiencing the crashes mentioned.
Played a few sessions of free roam. Town Center could not be tested.
Played a few matches against bots and was unable to finish any of them before crashes occurred.
Offline progression saved as intended despite the issues mentioned.
