Test Notes:
※ Physical packaging for the standard edition through limited publisher Fresh Brewed Games has some faint formatting discrepancies compared to retail releases, such as a slightly larger ESRB rating on the front cover and the game description portion of the backside has a blurry, lower-resolution quality.
-- Pre-rendered cutscenes have notable compression in visual quality and sound design has select moments throughout the experience with improper level balance.
-- Subtitles feature various misspellings and other grammatical errors. They also appear to be forced into the experience as there's no option to disable them in the settings. Rare incidental moments of spoken dialogue, such as a prisoner NPC giving a motivational speech to other inmates near the rotating laser statues puzzle, don't seem to have any caption support as well.
-- After the story cutscene that directly introduces the character Zhornath, the subsequent alien planet stage will experience several visual glitches with the grass textures. On 'Performance' or 'Balanced' mode, the vegetation with continuously display a flickering "fade" effect during movement due to unoptimized polish between the draw distance and framerate. However, the flickering issue still persists even on 'Ultra Quality' mode which results in two invisible "rings" that become more noticeable with their attempt to manage the draw distance on the higher graphical settings. It arguable worsens the problem due to the extra amount of coverage from the "rings" amidst the presence of more visible grass within the environmental design. Other observational faults concern pop-in and misaligned objects that can also float above ground or clip into the ground. Toggling off the 'V-sync' option was untested for reference.
-- On 'Performance' mode, frame-rate slowdown was very noticeable during the underwater segments. It often happens during moments of excessive effects, such as enemies exploding into clouds of ink or firing large amounts of projectiles around the stone area with the three pong paddle-like puzzles.
-- Tile textures within the first labyrinth level can have small spots where clipping is visible.
-- Ghosting particles are highly observable during movement with certain visual effects that make it more severe depending on the presentation. Rolling on the ground or pausing during turns in the alien platforming voids, for example, can have very prominent black 'ghosting' trails against white backgrounds or vice-versa. Platform edges can also cause scattered particles. However, the visual oddity hardly ever lingers on-screen for more than a second before fading away although the technical oddity can become quite prominent depending on frantic movements in those sections.
-- Curious design choices such as floaty jumping / debris physics, invisible walls and fall-through platforms for environmental spots that weren't intended to be explored outside the linear stage design are present.
-- Image icon for the "Infiltrator" trophy shares the same picture as the "Not Alone" accolade.
