In several areas, the game exhibits severe framerate drops. Overall, it can target 60 fps, but it can drop below 20 fps in some areas especially while traveling. FPS drops tend to occur in areas with dense landscape geometry.
Areas with a stable framerate:
Ewer
Sansee (expect for Hercules Beetle Nest and Wind Tower)
The Wash (Southern half)
Sodic Waste
Areas with an unstable framerate:
Hakoa
Redsee
The Wash (Northern half)
Badlands
In areas with FPS drops, the fishing mechanic becomes unresponsive. Right D-pad had to be pressed repeatedly to cancel.
Occasionally, when traveling on the hoverbike, Sable would become invisible and the bike would get stuck in place while the area loads in the background. Jumping off and on the bike resolves this issue.
Mild object pop-in observed.
Carried objects became invisible a couple of times.
Texture flickering observed in some areas. Most frequently in Eccria.
Encountered no crashes.
*EPILEPSY WARNING BELOW*
After finding the Shade of Eccria mask and talking to Maz, the cutscene that follows exhibits bright flashing on the mountains in the background.
This flashing is also present in the opening cutscene for the ‘Heartbreak in the City’ quest, but it occupies a small portion of the screen.
In the ‘Crystal Plateau’ area, intermittent white flashes would appear on the top portion of the screen meant to convey lightning flashes. These are far less severe than ones mentioned above.
