Played to 100 % completion.
Compparing the patched US version (ver 1.0.5) to this newer JPN version (ver 1.0.1), we found out that the JPN version is indeed a newer patched version of the US version. There are only patch notes available for 1.0.3 and below. But based on those patch notes, everything listed on version 1.0.3 and below is here and accounted for. We would like to believe that 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 are also included but without patch notes we can’t verify.
Unfortunately. The game still has issues.
Shadow pop-ups are still prevalent as they were on version 1.0.0.
Frames still dip or stutters occur. The frames were only a big issue on one specific level which is the snow mountain level where there are 3 different slides. The frames struggle here the most. This was also an issue on the original build so it doesn’t seem to have been ironed out.
The game still crashed once and software closed out.
Tested both handheld and docked, and it seems that docked runs much much better and much more stable than handheld mode. Tested the snow mountain area and it performed much better docked.
The JPN version IS the one to have because it is complete on cart and no downloads are needed, but it’s not perfect by any means.
