Stable framerate with little to no framerate drops.
Only English and Japanese language options on cart.
Enemy AI occasionally acts weird. For example, rubber-banding its "front" towards the player in the last second when performing a back attack, or spawning facing the wall without moving.
Navigating the menu was difficult with the joystick as the menu options would flicker randomly. However, there was no issue navigating menus with D-Pad.
There is significant pop-in in the overworld. It is noticeable when playing, but never got in the way of gameplay and never affected monster encounters.
Overall it is very playable off cart unpatched.
There are versions out there that come with a disclaimer on the cover, stating that a download is required. This seems to be a semi-misprint, as it is not related to gameplay content. It only applies to languages. English and Japanese are on cart.
