Campaign is fully playable offline, although there is one random bug that happens sometimes in the 1.00 version where your AI squadmates will fly around in circles and in some cases that can make it impossible to progress. A checkpoint restart usually fixes the issue. Multiplayer is also playable offline via AI Bot matches although only Fleet Battles mode is playable with bots. Progression is disabled while offline meaning you can only use the base customization options when playing offline multiplayer.
