The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf

Version 1.0.19.1 on the cartridge. Patch to version 1.0.19.3 of 30.4 MBs available at the time of testing (end of July 2023).
Most up to date version on cart, as the USA version patches up to the same version 1.0.19.1.

100% completion, which includes all upgrades, all collectibles, and healed all contaminations.

The game runs solidly but there is a caveat.

Up until about 50% completion for the most part we had very minor issues:
Small fps drops at transitions from gameplay to cutscenes.
Minor drops in frames when the game would save periodically.
Occasional random fps drops during gameplay.
Pop-ins and shadows that pop in and out.

Once past 50%, frame rates were really taking a hit. The game started to get pretty bad that it would even begin to make you feel dizzy. But it wasn’t just with later levels, it was the entire game as a whole. Visiting levels that we had beaten earlier in the game, and those performed just as badly as well.
According to a quick Google research, it’s possible that when a Nintendo Switch runs constantly without being turned off, this will cause performance issues with games that take a lot out of the system. Shutting the console off completely (not just sleep mode) and then starting the game back up again fixes the issue

Overall a solid build of the game with the caveat of the performance bug.
Played almost entirely in handheld mode.
Docked mode only played for about an hour of, but it does seem to perform slightly better.

Last thing to mention, past about 96% or 98% completion, when attempting to make a jump to a mushroom, and missing the mushroom, instead of dying, the game glitched and the player character was under the world. Restarting at the latest checkpoint fixed it.
