Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh

Test Notes:

Switch 2 BC dramatically improves the framerate. Stable throughout the majority of the playthrough.

The graphics look sharper. However, clothing and some ground textures can still appear grainy.

Various visual glitches: Mild clipping on some character models. A couple of noticeable visual bugs on some in-game cutscenes such as TinTin’s arms being stuck in one pose. Mild pop-in observed throughout in addition to textures loading in. Character models in a distance will move with reduced frames of animation.

Quicktime events can still be delayed, but are tolerable for the most part.

Both car chases completed without issue other than failing a few times. Both show stable performance, but the first chase has noticeably grainy environmental graphics.

Two cutscenes displayed a black screen while the audio was still playing. The first after being captured in Abudin in Chapter 4 and the second after the plane chase.

The last cutscene did display correctly, but the voices were noticeably out of sync.

English Audio and Text tested.


Additional Notes:

Tested mostly in Docked mode. Performance remains decent in handheld mode.

Overall, this release is far more playable on Switch 2 BC despite lacking in polish.
