Looks and runs much better than it does via Switch 1. No major performance drops occur, but the game does noticeably drop frames in large firefights, as well as stutter often during heavy firefights or traversal. This is especially evident when traveling at high speed.
While crashes were observed during Switch 1 tests, Switch 2 BC does not appear to exhibit them.
A softlock was observed when opening the map during an open world mission. The map would refuse to close and the game had to be exited and restarted from the Home Screen to fix it.
A softlock was observed in the mission “Grand Finale” where an object needed to finish the level fell under the map, requiring a restart from the checkpoint.
Despite a popup claiming the Re-Elected content has been unlocked after completing the mission “The Real World”, all on-cart DLC is non-functional without an update.
Encountered a bug where the game capped itself to 30 FPS upon completing the final mission. After restarting the game, the frame rate was uncapped to 60 as expected.
Small 1px horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the screen appear to cull certain objects and shadows.
The outline of characters makes shadows transparent under certain lighting conditions.
During gameplay, a damage indicator icon got stuck and wouldn’t go away until the game was exited and reloaded.
Cutscene voice audio is handled by the “Effects” slider, rather than “Voices”.
Flickering shadows were observed in the Fight Club arena.
Several animation errors were observed. NPCs clipping through geometry, the player character being frozen, and some enemies T-posing when defeated. Some characters on the ship appear to use the incorrect animation and clip through certain objects or look odd, typing in midair.
Sometimes subtitles do not match the spoken dialogue.
Texture corruption errors were observed with some billboards and helicopter rotors.
